Workshop Overview
The Measuring Development, Advancing Equity workshop was organized by IU Professor of International Studies Nicole Hassoun, founder and executive director of Global Health Impact (GHI), and sponsored by the Tobias Center. The workshop brought together scholars, international organization leaders, and practitioners to rethink how the world defines, measures, and improves development. By asking who current metrics leave behind, the workshop advanced GHI’s broader effort to create better tools for measuring human progress and building fairer policies.
